Marykirk.com is a wireless internet broadband provider for rural Scotland. They approached me about creating a short video about how their service works and we collaborated to create this short, fun explainer video.
This was a special project to me because it pushed me out of my comfort zone to provide the voice over, as well as the design, animation and editing of the final video.

This project was unique, in that the company serves rural areas, rather than urban ones. I've seen many fantastic slick tech explainer videos which focuses on busy cities, however it didn't seem relatable for the audience here. I wanted to keep the clean feel of this inspiration intact but combine it with vibrant colours and space, so that it echo's environment of living in remote places.
I came up with two ideas with their own moodboard and styleframe to discuss in person with the client. This way I could verbally and visually describe what the finished video would look like.

So, how does this work?

A broadband signal is transmitted...
...to a property over our network of antennas.
There must be a clear line of sight from your property to our antennae.
If there are trees or hills in the way the signal can’t get through.
< Transition frame > This is perfect for areas where conventional broadband delivery methods are not an option.
We fit an antennae to the outside of your property.

This is then wired to a router, inside your property.
All of your devices then connect to that router
